Xibitr is a creative technology studio founded by James Lee Burgess and Ian Dance. We create immersive mixed-reality experiences for museums, galleries, cultural institutions and entertainment venues — helping clients reimagine what’s possible.
James is a creative technologist and former building architect with 20+ years in spatial design and storytelling. Now a qualified developer, he bridges the gap between the built environment and cutting-edge technology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and a Digital Poverty Alliance Ambassador.
Ian is a digital designer with over 25 years’ experience in brand creation, user experience and strategic communication. His work spans leading corporate and cultural brands, and he has produced award-winning arts-based initiatives that engage communities. Ian brings a refined design sensibility and a strategic mindset to immersive digital storytelling.
